Updated LMB International Baccalaureate Acceptance Timeline
Greetings,
As a result of the our days out of school, it its necessary that we reschedule the timeline for the remainder of the admissions process. The updated timeline follows:
March 6, 2015 Acceptance letters will be mailed to home listed on application and handed out in schools.
March 10, 2015 Shadow day for last name A-L (9am – 11am)
March 11, 2015 Shadow day for last name M – Z (9am – 11am)
April 3, 2015 Decision letters due.
Timeline for TJ – IB to follow.

UVa Summer Enrichment Program information
The UVA SEP summer program application deadline is February 15. There is still time for anyone to begin and complete an application. If you know of students in your building who would enjoy and benefit from this program, please pass one of the attached flyers along.
If you anticipate that a student will have difficulty paying the tuition please alert them to the availability of financial aid. That application is attached, too, and it may help that student and his or her family if you give them a printed copy of that form, and remind them that it is due March 1. Thank you all very much for your support and help in encouraging these bright students to come to a summer program!
Again, applications for the Summer program are due February 15th, 2015, by midnight. Students should ideally apply online through the UVA website at http://curry.virginia.edu/sep , though print/paper applications are also accepted. Tuition for the Summer 2015 is $1300 with a $25 application fee. Financial aid is available based on need. The financial id form should be submitted no later than March 1st , 2015.

MSIC Discoverers
You are invited to check out the Discoverers 4 & 5 Program – MSiC being held on Saturdays, February 28, March 7 & 21, 2015 at the MathScience Innovation Center.
They are also offering two classes at our Harrowgate Location on the same dates – Discoverers 4 & 5 Program – Harrowgate.

You can register on-line by clicking on one of the links above and then on the Register On-line icon at the top right. From the welcome page you can register for courses, update your profile, or view your current registrations. For those who prefer mailing their registration, print the brochure registration page and mail to us with a check or money order (payable to MSiC).

IB Testing Reminder | Saturday January 31, 2015 | Lucille Brown Middle School | 8:45am
This is just a reminder that testing for students seeking admission to the IB Programme who are currently in the 5th, 6th, & 7th grades will be held tomorrow at Lucille Brown Middle School. Students should arrive by 8:45am in order to register and be in place for the 9am start time. Students may only bring a #2 pencil and a snack should they choose to do so. Testing will conclude by noon.
Testing for all other students seeking admission to IB will be held on February 7th.
All Office of Gifted Programs’ meetings postponed
All meetings held by the Office of Gifted Programs will be rescheduled until further notice. Mr. Washington will be out of town tending to a family emergency for an extended period of time.
All application deadlines and testing dates will be maintained unless otherwise notified.
